3D SUBLIMATION
Some of the products in our iDesignyou range are printed with the aid of a 3D vacuum sublimation machine. This technique allows for products such as mugs and phone / tablet cases, to be printed with the design of your choice.
A photo, text or design is printed and then by means of heat and pressure this can then be transferred onto polyester coated materials.
For 3D sublimation our special 3D vacuum machine is required which makes it possible to be able to print a product on several sides, perfect for phone cases!
How it works
The ink is first printed onto special sublimation paper, which is transferred using the 3D vacuum machine. The vacuum then wraps the image to all visible sides of the product. By heating the ink and product, pores are opened in the polyester coated material, which then allows the ink to fuse within. Once the ink and product is cooled, the pores close containing the ink. The end result is a wonderful product featuring your own creation!
